About Our Club

Since 1917, Texarkana's Wilbur Smith Rotary Club has been committed to making a difference in the world, and in our own communities. We have served our community, adhering to the principles first established by the Rotary Club when it was founded in 1905: to encourage and foster the idea of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service
  • High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying by each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society
  • The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business and community life
  • The advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service

Our club has sponsored a variety of projects through the years that have made a difference in the lives of many in the community.
